BREAKING: Nigerian Soldiers cry as they bury 22 officers killed in Niger.

No less than 22 Nigerian soldiers killed in action in Niger State are being laid to rest in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja’s National Military Cemetery.

According to Fresh Gist Media, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) revealed the loss of at least 36 officers killed in battle on August 14. The cops’ chopper was shot down by terrorists in Niger State’s Zungeru region.

After bandits plagued the area recently, the army were dispatched to Kundu hamlet in Wushishi Local Government Area. Some of the fallen cops had already been buried by their families, with the remaining 22 being laid to rest on Friday.

Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Christopher Gwabin Musa, and other service chiefs are currently at the cemetery.
